Raw Bircher a Powerful start to your day!

This is a delicious and easy breakfast that is perfect for the coming warmer months. Steel Cut Oats are less processed than rolled oats and contain much more fibre and nutrition, which helps you stay fuller for longer.

This is best done before you go to bed so that there is enough soaking time for the ingredients.

In a large bowl place the following:

2 cuts of Steel Cut Oats (available from a health food or bulk food store)

2 teaspoons of Cinnamon 

1 handful of Raw Slithered Almonds

1 handful of Sultanas or Chopped Dates

1/4 cup Shredded Coconut

1 handful of Raw Cashews

Mix the ingredients together and pour enough boiling water over the mixture so that there is about 2-3cm of water above it. This is needed so that it can soak and absorb it in the coming hours. Cover with a tea towel and leave overnight.

The next morning, grate an apple and add to the mixture along with honey to taste.

Add some fresh berries or banana to serve and enjoy!!
