Flax Crackers
Flax & Sesame Crackers

This recipe makes 9 large crackers. It is great to use in replacement of bread and goes perfectly well with avocado and sprouts or hommus.

1 cup ground flax seeds

1/3 cup whole flax seeds

½ teaspoon sea salt

1 clove of fresh minced garlic

½ cup of grated carrot or zucchini, or chopped capsicum

2 tablespoons chopped red onion

1 1/3 cups water

2/3 cups sunflower seeds

¼ black or white sesame seeds

Place all the ingredients in a bowl, cover with the water and mix well.

Using the back of a spoon, spread the mixture evenly on a dehydrator tray. Dry at 110 degrees F for 4 hours. Flip and score the bread into 9 slices to make it easy to break in straight lines. Dehydrate for another few hours before serving.
